This book was more than a book really. Sure it had the story line, the characters, and the plot. But more than that, it has emotion. It makes you feel, and things that would normally would feel wrong felt right. This book has a heart.

Dru Anderson is in deep sh!t. Half Vampire, Half human, 100% completely lost. And if that wouldn't screw your mind then how about killing your own zombified father? It is no piece of cake.

Now what you could call her best friend has turned into a werewolf, something that she knows is a little her fault. And they both have been dragged to a Schola full of strange werewolves and Dhampires, a place were danger is on every corner, and you are never safe. Because in the Schola there is a traitor, a person who wants Dru's head on a silver platter.

This is too much for a teenage girl, add the whole double puberty in her everyday life, and her confusion between two boys, and that alone would make any girl crazy.

I loved this book. It was awesome. Plot always kept you guessing, questions kept popping up and down, and the tension was intense.

In this book we get to see the other side of Dru Anderson, the vulnerable side. She is lost, she killed her father (zombie, true, but still) and now she has to deal with another part of her she never even knew existed. They show Dru as being very confused and confined in herself during the novel. Something that would have normally bothered me seemed like the complete obvious route to take. See this change in the character makes her real. She suffers, HER FATHER DIED, it's natural she feels like this! it's what makes the book have a heart.

But not everything is depressing, we also have the heart stopping moments, both romantic and dangerous. There is danger everywhere, and I still don't know who the traitor is, though I have an idea. With the romance part... Well, I am torn. But I think I am leaning on Grave's side of the love triangle a little bit more than Christophe's...

Why, oh why, did you gave this book a 4? Well, it was kind of confusing at times. I had to go back and re read things because I either didn't know who was talking, or what was happening. Also I wanted more. Too short! Make these books bigger!! And it concentrated in only one place for too much time.

That's what I felt, and I cannot wait to read Jealousy.

First book was ok, this one was great, and I am betting Jealousy is getting a solid 5.
