So I started reading What's Left of Me by Kat Zhang...

"Addie didn't reply. We lay there, our face pressed into the crook of our elbow.
Devon's words were red-hot coals inside me, searing away three years of tenous acceptance. The fire screamed to get out, to escape from the throat, the skin, the eyes that were mine as much as Addie's. But it didn't.
Normally, I wouldn't have responded. I'd learned not to speak whenever I felt like this. To stay quiet and make myself pretend I didn't care. It was the only way I could keep from going insane, to not die from the want -the need- to move my own limbs. I couldn't cry. I couldn't scream. I could only be quiet and let myself go numb. Then, at least, I woulnd't have to feel anymore, wouldn't have to endlessly crave what I could never have.
But not today. I couldn't stay quiet today."
I've read about halfway of this novel, and so far so good. I mean it goes slow on some parts which leads to it being somehow less than exciting. Sometimes I wanna shake the main character (Eva) so much because she does stupid things that puts both her and Addie in danger without even thinking about it (ironic since the only thing she can actually do is think things through). But it's a very interesting concept. Two souls occupying one body, one is dominant (Addie) and the other isn't (Eva). The submissive soul is supposed to fade away at a certain age, but sometimes this doesn't happen and this is dangerous because you are always supposed to settle and if you don't then... I haven't gotten to that part yet, but bad hings are sure to happen!

I read that some people were slightly bothered, not at ease, with the repeated use of "our" like when the character refers to her hands as our hands, our feet, our lips, our voice, but it doesn't bother me. I guess it could be because I've read a novel slightly like this before where two souls inhabit one body (The Host by Stephenie Meyer) so it's something I have encountered before, and Kat Zhang seems to manage this element quite well in her writing so it really is up to the reader's taste for unconventional story telling.

Let's keep reading and see what unspeakable things happen to these rebellious souls!
