"She's leaking," rumbled the ogre. "She's not 'leaking,' Harvicc." Tyff shushed him. "She's... crying. And crazy." Kelley barely felt her roommate's hand on her shoulder, shaking her gently. "Kelley... why are you suddenly a crazy person?" Under any other circumstances, Kelley would have laughed at Tyff's question. Why was she "suddenly" crazy? Why was she acting as if the world had just collapsed all around her? Probably because it had."

On the next quote keep in mind that this is a different ogre than in the first quote.

"The ogre, fighting both Fennrys and Cait, swung his massive head around when he heard the cry. He snorted like a bull in an arena, focusing all of his murderous attention suddenly, acutely, on Kelley. Tired of being intimidated-especially by the people she was there to help-Kelley unfurled her wings, and the dazzling brilliance made even her own vision dance with spots for a moment. But she swallowed nervously and backed up half a dozen steps when she saw it didn't exactly have the flash-blinding effect she'd intended. "He's got no eyes, Princess," said a voice from over her shoulder. "But nice try."

In this next quote keep in mind that Tyff, Kelley's best friend, took the form of Kelley through rehearsal in order to cover her butt.

"He bought that?" Tyff grinned wickedly. "He thought it was his idea. Got all noble and self-sacrificing and everything. Really let you down gently." "Oh gawd..." Kelley out her head in her hands. "Don't worry about it," Tyff reassured her, smiling brightly. "You also told him that you had a totally hot roommate you would introduce him at the cast party." "I did?" "Uh-huh. And you will." "Why?" Kelley asked. "Why?" Tyff's expression went a tiny bit dreamy, and she said, "Because I haven't been kissed like that in over a thousand years. That's why."

The book has a great balance of romance, action and funny moments. It's lovely. I will post a review soon since I finished my freaking copy in a day!

PS; I recommend people to read the previous novels before reading this one even if you had already read them; in order to refresh your mind of the characters and plot points and stuff. I was a wee lost, but Lesley manages to explain past things in a way that fits nicely in the story without going "and so well, this is what happened..."
